Membership and Outreach Summer Intern
The LandTrust for Central North Carolina, an accredited LandTrust, is seeking an outgoing, energetic, self-starter to assist the LandTrust in expanding its current membership base and to work with our newly developed Youth Initiative – The Leopold Society. The primary duties of this position will be to expand the Leopold Society within county recreation departments, while supporting and promoting our ongoing membership development efforts throughout our 10-county region. Additional duties include but are not limited to attending and supporting outreach events (including volunteer workdays), managing conservation education programs, limited financial reporting/ donor data entry, answering the phone, and writing for our social media and website platforms.
Candidates majoring in communications, environmental studies, marketing, or wildlife management and from or with a connection to the 10-county region (Anson, Cabarrus, Davidson, Davie, Iredell, Montgomery, Randolph, Richmond, Rowan, and Stanly) are preferred.
This 11-week paid internship will include a $5,000 stipend and will run from mid-May until mid-August. Housing or medical benefits are not included. Travel across the region is required.
